Why Six Blades
What Makes This
Academy Different

There are other places in Denver to train. Here’s what genuinely sets us apart — and what keeps students coming back, year after year.

01
The Room Is the Product

We measure ourselves in the quality of what unfolds on the mat. Every decision is weighed against one question: does this protect the standard, or dilute it?

02
Process Over Outcome

Trophies are noise. Belts come when they come. The consistent, honest work is the thing that builds the person. We coach the process so outcomes take care of themselves.

03
Consistency Over Intensity

Showing up steadily beats showing up hard. Our programming favors the quiet compounding of habit over flash, hype, or burnout.

04
Emotional Regulation as a Skill

We treat self-control the same way we treat a guard pass — a technique you can practice and improve. Students handle hard moments more calmly, on the mat and off.

05
A Real Coaching Standard

Certified instructors and black belts with decades of teaching experience. Coaching here is serious, warm, and held to a standard we don’t compromise — ever.

06
Safety, Always

Students learn control before intensity. Our culture, coaching, and class structure keep every student — especially kids — physically and emotionally safe.

Right Fit
This Is an Honest Place.
Here’s the Honest Answer.

Most academies say yes to everyone. We say what we actually are, and let you decide.

This Is For You If…
  • You want structure, discipline, and real growth
  • You can commit to training consistently
  • You trust your coach and respect the standards
  • You value steady progress over fast-tracked belts
  • You’re willing to be coached, as a student and as a parent
This Is Not For You If…
  • You want quick promotions or guaranteed wins
  • You’re looking for a drop-off activity to fill a schedule
  • You plan to direct training from outside the mat
  • You expect transformation without showing up
  • You want a workout class more than a development system
The Six Blades Philosophy
A Framework for Life,
Not Just a Style of Jiu-Jitsu

The techniques our students learn are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The things they leave with are bigger: composure under pressure, the patience to repeat a hard thing until it becomes easy, the steadiness to lead themselves. That’s the part that follows them off the mat and into every part of life.

“Did this hour leave them better than the one before it?”

A special shoutout to Sensei Antunes for his leadership, expertise, and commitment to building not just skilled martial artists, but confident, disciplined individuals. His presence sets the tone for a culture rooted in respect and mutual support. The other professors and coaches also deserve recognition for bringing their experience, encouragement, and enthusiasm to every class, making each session engaging and motivating.

★★★★★

“I can confidently say this academy sets a completely new benchmark for what a BJJ school should be.”

First, the facility itself is absolutely pristine. In a sport where hygiene can sometimes be an afterthought, Six Blades is immaculate. The mats are always clean, and the general organization of the academy reflects a high level of professionalism. It doesn’t feel like a rough “fight club” gym; it feels like a legitimate institution of higher learning.

— Elais K.
★★★★★

“I am a 59 year old dad and on the lookout for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy that offers knowledgeable instructors in a safe, friendly, and clean environment, conducive to both self-defense and fitness. I found just that at Six Blades.”

They provide incredible adult classes, and the kids’ classes are equally impressive. The small class sizes ensure that everyone receives personalized attention — a place where you can train, learn, and grow together as a family.
